    I come to TIBF every year searching for good foreign books. This time I visited 10 international publishers and negotiated about 60 titles. At TIBF, we could meet many new foreign publishers with whom we expect to work from now on to enhance our publishing projects. We look forward to meeting with more new international publishers next year.

    We have visited many international publishers looking mainly for children’s books, and had meetings on 30 titles. At past TIBFs, we bought publishing rights from various countries including Malaysia, Korea, and France, and this time we are thinking about publishing Italian children’s books.

    We are searching for language teaching books and novels from abroad. Through the meetings we had at TIBF, we are considering 10 titles for publication in Japan. We are very keen to meet with foreign publishers at TIBF.

    We attended TIBF looking for interesting novels from Europe. We had meetings on about seven titles at the venue. We hope to meet with even more foreign publishers at the next TIBF for rights negotiations.

    We attend TIBF every year to find new Japanese and international titles. This time we also found several interesting books, and are now considering publishing three children’s books and a series of 15 volumes in the humanities.

    We visited TIBF searching for new titles and bestsellers that might do well in China. Through 10 useful meetings, we found 30 attractive titles we are considering for translation. We also discussed co-publishing deals with some companies.

    We negotiated publication rights with 15 companies from various countries including Japan, Australia, and Korea, and are considering 10 titles of picture books and craft and design books.

    It was my second visit to TIBF and I felt that the fair had grown. We had 10 meetings to negotiate rights, and brought back several language books for consideration to publish. TIBF is a good fair to make contacts and do business with Japanese publishers, so we are looking forward to visiting the fair next year.
